See you in the studio!

How do I get ready for my first class?

Here's what you'll need:

→ Wear something stretchy and comfy, and pop on some grip socks (no socks, no play!)
→ BYO water bottle - we've got water available, but don't currently supply cups
→ Bring a towel
→ Try to skip a big meal in the 1.5 hours before class
→ Need a bathroom or shower? We've got bathrooms, plus showers available (BYO towel). There are also extra showers in the business buildings across the carpark - just ask our team and we'll point the way.

That's it. See you in the studio!

How do I create a account and book a class?

We use the MindBody booking system for everything - account management, purchases, and bookings. It's built right into our website, so there's no slog through annoying sign-ups to get to the good stuff.

And if you're an app-collector (same), you can also use the MindBody app or the Good Times App.

What are the Align community vibes?

Arrive at least ten minutes before class - any empty reformers get passed on to our waitlisted friends or keen walk-ins.

Roll call! Check in with your teacher or at reception before each class so they can mark you as here. Like school, but chill.

Pregnancy, dodgy knees, cramps? We want you comfortable, so give your teacher a heads up before class if there's anything they should know about your body. Your privacy stays your privacy.

Other than water and a towel, pop all your belongings on the shelves in the change room. We'd hate to accidentally step-on your iPhone (or your fresh flowers) while we're moving around the studio.

Give everything a go! We only ever invite you to move in ways we believe every body is capable of. And if something doesn't work for you, that's ok. Be proud you tried - because we will be.

Read on for our Community Guidelines.

I'm pregnant, can I still do class?

Congratulations! If your doctor has cleared you to exercise, you're absolutely welcome in our group classes.

Our teachers know the guidelines around movement during pregnancy inside out. We've got wedges to support you during class if you need them, and we can always offer options and alternatives so you feel comfortable.

We do ask that you book in a 45-minute Pregnancy Private lesson before 16 weeks with one of our highly qualified teachers. It's a chance to walk through your modifications together, so you feel safe and confident in class.

Semi-private lessons are a lovely option too, giving you a tailored touch as your body changes and baby grows.

Have a look at our Pregnancy Guidelines page for more on how we can support you through this chapter.

Not feeling 100%?

While we believe in sweating stuff out, if you've got cold or flu symptoms please sit classes out until you're well again. Pop the kettle on for some lemon and honey instead.

If you're not feeling 100% in any capacity, please stay home - preferably in bed, bingeing Netflix (our team would be doing exactly the same).

If you've got an injury, please get the all clear from your doctor before coming to class.

And if there's something else going on with your body, like pregnancy, let your teacher know you might need a little extra TLC in your practice.

Always listen to your body, and never be afraid to speak up - in life and in class.

Is there such thing as too much Pilates?

In our (highly experienced) books? Never. But always do what works for your body, mind, mood and schedule.

If you're new to Pilates, a nice 2-3 classes a week is a great starting point.

Once you're as hooked as we are, you can build up to 5-6 classes a week.

To get the most out of your time at Align, we suggest mixing up your classes - that way you're getting a good range of fun, full-body movement.

Where are you located?

You'll find us in Remarkables Park Shopping Centre, Frankton, Queenstown - we've got two studios there.

Our Reformer Studio is upstairs above Nood, in the red building opposite Lighting Direct.

Everything else, including private lessons and mat-based classes, happens in the big orange studio at the bottom of the carpark, just under the medical centre.

A wee heads up: please arrive 5-10 minutes early. For everyone's safety and a disruption-free class, we lock the doors once class begins.
